The Drum and Bass Pack is the final of three genre compilations – aditionally to Footwork Juke and Jungle Tekno – looking back on a diverse catalog of breakbeat music in the 150 - 170 bpm range.
When Defrostatica was founded in 2015 you couldn't say drum and bass without saying autonomic. The eponymous podcast by dBridge and Instra:mental sparked a wave of halftime tracks from veteran and emerging producers alike. This change in rhythmic style led to a more experimental approach to drum and bass music, which is reflected in our 10 year anniversary compilation of tunes, ranging from dark'n' minimal halftime to upfront and passionate steppers.

"Leipzig beat splicers Defrostatica have been putting out some incredible collections in recent months to celebrate 10 years of boundary breaking bust-ups. Following their footwork and jungle techno VAs now comes the biggie - drum & bass and halftime. Once again we see many familiar Defro family names - Kiat, Agzilla, Homesick, Sinistarr, Uneven, Maltin Worf are all present and correct as is the mighty Digital who delivers a massive low end headbutt with the rolling juggernaut 'Uprock'. Other big moments include La Dame's pipe-blasting 'Sandworm' and the pulsating dubby charm of Acid Lab's 'Listen'. We could go on and on. From the glitchy swagger of HomeSick's 'Bolt' to the alien paranoia funk of Sinistarr and Agzilla's 'Emo', this is a fantastic set of contemporary designs."
