The main inspiration for the founding of Defrostatica in 2015 were footwork and juke tracks from DJs and producers in Chicago, as well as UK artists who cross-pollinated the genre with jungle influences.
The 'DICAX Footwork Juke Pack' is a compilation celebrating the label's 10th anniversary and showcasing the best tracks released in the genres to date. Artists from the US, Spain, Germany, Canada, the UK, Austria and Russia were inspired by the sound of Chicago and contributed to it within their cultural and musical context. Discover 20 footwork and juke tracks from the Leipzig based label including remixes by Sinistarr, Sun People, BSN Posse, Arcane & Jon1st and Jana Rush.
